INFP
According to the Myers-Briggs Personality test, I am an INFP, or sometimes called “the Healer”.
On the I/E scale, I have a distinctive preference of introversion (67%). I gain my energy by the alone time I get throughout my day. I have tendencies to get very stressed out at school just because of the interaction, and crowds of kids. I have a usual routine of coming home and going straight to my room for two or three hours to listen to music and finally relax. Instead of going out to parties or hanging out with friends, I would rather stay home and read a good book. I prefer to do individualized sports because I don’t like having to rely on other people for my outcome.
On the N/S scale, I have a moderate preference of Intuition (25%). When it comes to learning, I have a very hard time with it. I spent 8 years of my school life being homeschooled, so when I attended a public school for the first time, it was hard for me to establish good learning strategies. I have to have a very monitored, one on one teaching method. I have always been an over analyzed thinker, mostly whenever it is time for bed. I always look at what the after math will be and big picture, rather than what is going on in the present. Before I go out and try something new, I have to look deep into it before I can feel comfortable, and the majority of the time I still will not feel comfortable, resulting in holding myself back. I do not like stepping out of my comfort zone, and taking risks.
On the F/T scale, I have a moderate preference of feeling (38%). Throughout my life I grew up with a very abusive father, mentally as well as physically. Everything I did was never good enough and to him I was an ugly person inside and out. Having to overcome my insecurities and mental blocks, I really find an inner happiness in helping other people with personal/physical issues. With every decision I make it personally comes from my heart. I am a people pleasure 100%. I have always wanted to make other people happy rather than myself. It gives me personal gratification knowing that I can make someone smile, through giving a hug or a piece of advice.
On P/J I have a moderate preference on perceiving (33%). My life motto has always been ‘go with the flow’. I am a much laid back person that can deal with anything. I like having change to spice things up a bit. When each day is repetitive I find it harder to concentrate, I like to have change to intrigue my mind. I have always been the person to restyle my room each month because I get tired of living in the same old same old. If I ever have a problem, I always say ‘we will wait and see’ or ‘we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.’ I never prefer to rush through a problem I have, I just try to let it settle itself. I am very flexible whenever it comes to things like compromises.
